Dear Fellow Bowlers:
Greetings of Peace, Unity and Hope!
Filipino bowlers years ago were one of the best if not the best in our region, Asia and the world. Even up to now, the talents are still visible but the discipline, dedication, mental toughness and national pride are gone save to a very few. We can't put the blame on the players alone but to all of us who can't sacrifice our individual vested interests to be ONE in direction for the good and development of the sport we all love.
Several weeks ago, I was put to task to assemble a group of the best coaches in our country who are likewise willing to make sacrifices and set aside their individual idiosyncrasies to select, assemble and train an excellent national team.
The RP Team Coaches pending approval of POC/PSC and resolution of our bowling organization are:
Paeng Nepomuceno
Johnson Cheng
Jojo Canare
Biboy Rivera
Rey Reyes
With them are the credibility, credentials, talents, dedication and experience to lead our national pool of athletes.
Our next step now is to select from the players who will join and qualify during the eliminations (see attached guidelines and schedules). In this regard, we need all your help and support. May we request you to please inform and invite bowlers from your respective associations or much better request your respective organizations to sponsor players and join our scheduled eliminations. Let us join hands to make tenpin bowling a sport of skills and to relive it's glory in our country where we were once the much feared competitors.
Thank you so much!
Sincerely yours,
Steve E. Robles
President - Philippine Senior Bowlers Assn., Inc. (PSB)
