i had an opportunity to meet a lot of the stars from the 80´s and before we even started throwing a ball. if you watched how these guys threw the ball. it was just a sight to watch. those were the days of the rubber ball and wood lanes, averaging 220 on what was basically a flat oil pattern. they still bowl the same way they bowled 20-25 yers ago. a lot of them are still bowling today on the SR tour, a lot of them have decided to move on.
i had the opportunity to bowl some games with them with money on the line. i took a few, but they took the rest . the rest was quite a bit and did hurt my pocket but the fun part about it was they gave pointers here and there that are still valuable pointers up to this day.
so let´s see...who do you remember from back in the day?

Black Cloud

Ahhh, brilliant ! That is more like it, starting a topic all about old PBA stars. This time we will never be declared "out of the topic".

Well, we talked of Earl Anthony, Dave Husted, Wayne Webb, Mark Roth, Marshall Holman, and Ernie Schelgel.

Let´s see - what about the other lefties ? Dave Davis wrote (co-authored ?) a book in the late 70´s and Johnny Petraglia signed the Brunswick LT-48, the soft rubber ball that absorbs oil from the lane (and thankfully expels it later overnight, unlike today´s reactives). Also, some other guys like Tommy Hudson who signed the Brunswick LT-51 (Yellow Dot counterpart) and Dick Weber, who had an AMF signature hard rubber ball.

How are these guys doing today ?
