1 VENUE
B3 Entertainment Centrum, NCCC Mall, Matina, Davao City
2 SANCTIONING
This Tournament is sanctioned by the Philippine Bowling Congress
3 ELIGIBILITY
All duly registered members of the Philippine bowling Congress may participate in this tournament.
4 AVERAGE
The average of the participants shall be based on the following order of priority:
4.1 The latest available list of PBC averages
4.2 Association average duly certified by its President/Tournament Director
4.3 Club average duly certified by its President/Tournament Director
4.4 Any Bowler who has become champion in any PBC Sanctioned Open
Tournament from March 01, 2012 – March 09, 2013 shall automatically be upgraded from his/her existing classification to the next higher classification for purpose of assigning his/her handicap in the 8th DATBA ARAW NG DABAW CLASSIC TENPIN OPEN.
5 HANDICAP


Senior bowlers aged 60 up shall be given a plus 5 handicap. Proof of age should be shown upon registration


6 UNIFORMS
All players are required to wear a proper bowling uniform during the game.
7 FORMAT
Qualifying Rounds: All the participating bowlers shall play a total of 10 games divided into 5 games per squad. There will be lane movement every game. The 2012 Araw ng Dabaw champion is seeded, but he/she must complete the required 10 games. The Top 39 bowlers and the defending champion will play in the Finals on Sunday, March 10.In the event that the defending Champion fails to qualify, the 40th ranked bowler will play in the finals.
Masters Event: The masters’ event shall be composed of eight (Cool games. Top eight (Cool bowlers after the eight game shall advance to the next round (shoot-out format).There will be lane movement after every game (bowlers will move 4 lanes).The bowlers ranked 8th, 7th , 6th , 5th shall play a shoot-out game. The winner shall advance to the next shoot out game. The winner, together with bowlers ranked 4th, 3rd, 2nd, shall play another shoot-out game and the winner will challenge the 1st ranked bowler in the championship game. The 1st ranked bowler shall have the twice to beat advantage over the challenger The Winner in this match shall be declared the MASTERS CHAMPION of the 8th DATBA ARAW NG DABAW CLASSIC TENPIN OPEN. Winners shall be declared base on their original rankings (after eight games) regardless of his/her score in the shoot-out match.
7 REGISTRATION
Registration fee is Php 2,500.00 (inclusive of lane fees) Amount shall be paid in full before the start of the 1st game. Registration received shall be on a first-come first-served basis. There will be no refund of registration fees it has been paid and registered. Participants who fail to show up and /or late for checking in for the scheduled squad shall be disqualified to participate on the particular events but will be allowed to participate on the other events. Registration for the Masters’ event shall be Php 1,500.00

Champion PHP 50,000.00 4th Runner-up PHP 3,000.00
1st Runner-up PHP 20,000.00 5th Runner-up PHP 2,000.00
2nd Runner-up PHP 10,000.00 6th Runner-up PHP 2,000.00
3rd Runner-up PHP   5,000.00 7th Runner-up PHP 2,000.00

PERFECT *300* GAME PRIZE WILL BE ANNOUNCED BEFORE THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT.



9 CHECK-IN TIME
All participants must check-in at the tournament counter at least 30 minutes before the schedule time. The B3 bowling center clock time shall be the official time of the tournament.

11 PLAYING AREA
Other than the players and official individual team coaches, only tournament officials including scores and bowling center lane personnel shall be allowed to enter the playing area.


12 TIE BREAKING
12.1 Ties in any events, with award money involved, shall be resolved by the principles of combining the pot and be devised equally among winners and they shall be declared co winners.
12.2 Ties in the last place cut-off of the after 10 games and the 8th place cut-off of the MASTERS EVENTS shall be resolved in favor to the bowler who have the least difference between the highest and the lowest game (including handicap) Further ties   shall be resolved in favor to the bowler who have a lesser handicap.
12.3 Ties in the shoot-out match shall be in favor of the higher ranked bowler.


13 LATE COMERS
Late comers will be given 0 points pinfalls per frame missed and will still be allowed to continue. An automatic score of zero (0) for those coming in after the 3rd frame but will still be allowed to play in the next game.

14 SCORESHEET
Official score sheets must be signed by the bowlers after each game to acknowledge his/her score. If the bowler fails to sigh his /her score sheet, it is presumed that his/her scores are correct and no protest on such basis shall be entertained. Errors in the scoring of calculation in a tournament play must be corrected by a tournament official immediately upon the discovery of such error. Questionable errors shall be made declared/decided by the tournament committee. Any player who deliberately tampers his/hers score sheet shall be disqualified immediately from further participation on in the tournament.

15 NO OPEN BOWLING
When the tournament has started, participants shall not be allowed to play bowling regardless of lane availability in the venue of the tournament.

15 MISSING OR DOWN PIN(S)
Frame with missing pin(s), once the ball is rolled shall be treated as good ball, frame with fallen or down pins(s) on the pin check must be rebowled. All bowlers are entrusted to monitor and abide by this rule. Bowlers are not allowed to reset the pins, only lane men, tournament official and official scorers are allowed.

16 LANE BREAKDOWN
Should a single pair of lanes be rendered unusable for more than 20 minutes before of during the game, the tournament committee reserves the right to assign any available lanes provided by the bowling center to affected participants. An interrupted game or series must resume from the point (frame) of interruption. No bowling will be allowed.
In the event that the score of game(s) being erased and cannot be recalled or traced due to power failure or computer breakdown, the bowler concerned will required to bowl a new game. However, all scores of completed games that have been recorded on the official score sheet will remain unchanged.

17 PACER
During the finals, wherever a player chooses to discontinue his/her game, a pacer may be designated by a marshal.

18 PROTEST
Protest must be done in writing addressed to the tournament committee not later than 24 hours after the game in which the infraction was committed or prior awarding of prizes, whichever comes first. Otherwise such protest shall not be entertained. Each protest under this rule shall be specific in itself and this rule shall not be constructed to cover a similar or previous violation. The decision of the tournament committee is deemed final and not further appeal of protest will be accepted.
19 INTERPRETATION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS
Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC) rules shall apply. The tournament committee reserves the right to make the final interpretation in any of the rules and regulations mentioned above and to decide any matters not covered by the aforementioned rules and regulations and its decision shall be considered final.
