Dear Fellow Bowlers,

In behalf of the Imus Tenpin Bowlers Association (ITBA – IMUS ),      
we take the pleasure for this official invitation to you and to your bowling association/club to take part in our ITBA SPECIAL SINGLES CLASSIC CHAMPIONSHIP this February 15 – 22, 2015 at Paeng’s Freedom Bowl 3rd Level, Robinson’s Place, City of Imus.

Opening Program starts at 11:00a.m. and registration at 12nn.

The main objective of this tournament is to establish a good camaraderie among bowlers from different bowling associations and clubs affiliated with the Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC).

TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS


1. VENUE:       PAENG’S FREEDOM BOWL, 3/F ROBINSONS PLACE, Imus, Cavite

2. SANCTION:   This Open Championship is sanctioned by the Philippine Bowling                            Congress (PBC) and NBT.                            

3. ELIGIBILITY:   All duly registered members of the Philippine Bowling Congress may participate in this tournament.

4. UNIFORMS: All players are required to wear proper bowling uniforms during the game.  No short pants will be allowed for men and no short-shorts for women.  Sleeveless shirts will not be allowed as well.

5. CLASSIFICATION: MIXED OPEN DIVISION ONLY

6. AVERAGE:    The average scores of each participant will be based on the following order of priorities:

6.1   Latest available PBC List of averages;
6.2   Association average duly certified by its President or Tournament Director with corresponding list or tabulated association scores;
6.3   Club average duly certified by its President or Tournament Director with corresponding list of tournament results or tabulated club scores.
6.4   Bowlers without any existing average will be given the following handicap:

MIXED OPEN (Men)  =  0           (Ladies) =  8                          








7. HANDICAP:

For the qualifying events and masters finals, the following handicaps shall be applied:

8. FORMAT:

8.1 QUALIFYING:  

8.1a To qualify for the master’s in any division, a bowler must play two (2) sets of three (3) games each.
8.1b Any registered bowler can play multiple entries or as many sets as he/she wants to try for their best qualifying games.

8.2 MASTERS FINALS:   All the following rules should be applied.  

8.2a Top 36 will advance to the Masters Event.
8.2b Masters Event shall be composed of ten (10) games.  
8.2c There will be two (2)-lanes transfer every game.
8.2d There will be positioning on last game.
8.2e TOP 5 shall be declared the winners.
8.2f Consolation prizes will be given to #6 to #10 placer.

                 9.6   AWARDING CEREMONIES AT 4:00PM.

10. TIES

10.1 Ties in the Qualifying rounds.
Should a tie occur in the last position (cut-off), a tie breaker shall be determined in favor of the bowler who has a lesser handicap shall be applied.  And if another tie occurs, it shall be resolved in favor of the more number of tries and if they have the same number of tries bowler who has the least difference between the highest and the lowest game in the qualifying games. ONLY the game that is part of the top 2 series.

10.2 Ties in Masters’ Finals event
Should a tie occurs in the 1st place position in any Finals Event, a one- game roll-off shall be played to break the tie.  In case of another tie in the roll-off, a roll-off in the 9th and 10th frame shall be played and shall continue until the tie is broken.  
For the 9th and 10th frame roll-off, handicap is not applicable anymore.
In case of a tie in the 2nd to 5th place, the bowler with a lesser handicap shall occupy the higher position.  And if another tie occurs, it shall be resolved in favor of the bowler who has the least difference between the highest and the lowest game in the finals event.

11. REGISTRATION FEE:

11.1 Registration Fee shall be P2,600.00 (includes 2 sets of 3-games)

Re-entry Fee is P 500.00 per set of 3-games.

11.2 Finals Fee shall be:
Mixed Open Division :  P 2,800.00 (10 games)


12. RESERVATION:
Reservations to play in a particular squad are allowed on a first-come, first-serve basis provided the corresponding fees are paid upon reservation.

13. REFUNDS:
No refund of fees shall be made after the payment has been accepted. Participants who failed to show up on time for their scheduled squad, all fees for this entry will automatically be forfeited.  

14. CHECK IN TIME:
All participants must check-in at the tournament secretariat at least 15 minutes before the scheduled squad time, otherwise the participant is considered late, The Paeng’s Freedom Bowl time shall be the official time.


15. LANE BREAKDOWNS:
The Tournament Director or his duly appointed officer of the day may authorize the transfer of the game to another pair of lanes due to   equipment failures.  An Interrupted game or series must resume from the points of frames interruption, without practice bowling.

16. SCORESHEETS:
It will be the responsibility of the player to verify the correctness of the score each game by signing the official score sheet.  If the bowler fails to sign the official score sheet, it will be presumed correct and no protest shall be entertained.

17. PROTEST:
All protest must be done in writing and be addressed to the Tournament Committee within 24 hours, otherwise no protest shall be entertained thereafter.  The decision of the Tournament Committee shall be final.

18. PBC RULES:
PBC rules shall apply if a given situation is not covered by this rules and regulations.

19. INTERPRETATION OF THE RULES:
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to make the final interpretation of the rules and regulation.

20. AWARDS AND PRIZES:

MIXED OPEN:

Champion         P 60,000 plus trophy
1st Runner-up 30,000 plus trophy
2nd Runner-up 15,000 plus trophy
3rd Runner-up  8,000
4th Runner-up  4,000
5th to 9th Runner-up          2,000

21. SPECIAL PRIZES:

PERFECT “300” GAME AWARD: P15,000.00
Shall be awarded equally
