RULES & REGULATIONS:
1. Organizations & Sanction
This 2013 BALP/UPHS HALLOWEEN 0PEN is organized by the Bowling Association of Las Pinas (BALP) and sanctioned by the Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC) FIQ/WTBA playing rules and regulations shall apply on matters not covered herein.
Bowlers in good standing and good moral character are eligible to play this Open.
Bowlers are classified according to the latest PBC/NBT listing of averages.Bowlers without PBC average shall submit an average certified by respective association /club. Bowlers without certified average shall be classified as class O bowlers with an average of 196 for men and 186 for women. The tournament committee has the right to check and asses the average of the bowlers.
4.1 There are (3) groups in the handicap Open Tournament namely:
Group 1 - Open (Mixed)
Group 2 - Bowlers with an average of 180 and below (male only)
Ladies Div. - Bowlers with an average of 190 and below
4.2 Any male bowler with an average of 180 and below may join group 1
provide that he already played the Group 2 qualifying event.
4.3 Any lady bowler with an average of 190 and below may join Group 1
provided that she played the ladies qualifying event.
4.3 Team Event:
Group 1 Team With at least one(1) Group 1 bowler.
Group 2 All Group 2 *
Ladies Division Team composed of lady bowlers regardless of average.
* If a group 1 player joined group 2, the grop will automatically belong to Group 1 (open)
For the duration of the tournament, the following handicap shall apply:

6. Tournament Format:
6.1 Qualifying Event
All bowlers are required to complete.
6.2 Singles Event
Consist of three (3) games plus handicap per block. Bowlers are required to
complete two (2) blocks to qualify for Singles Event, However, bowlers can
play or attempt as many blocks as they wish and only the best two (2)
cumulated blocks will be counted for qualification for the Master’s Final.

6.3 Team Event
Consist of three (3) games plus handicap per block. Bowlers can attempt as
many as they want in order to improve their block.
6.4 Master’s Finals: (POSITIONING- last two (2) games)
Group 1 Mixed: Defending Champion (1) + Top 35 Finalist, Will play
Twelve (12) games plus handicap. POSITIONING on the last two (2) games.
Group 2: Top 36 Finalist, will play ten (10) games plus handicap.
POSITIONING on the Last tw0 (2) games.
Ladies Div.: Defending Champion + Top 26 Finalist, will play eight ( games
Plus handicap. POSITIONING on the Last two (2) games.
7. Tie Break
- In all the tie break games (singles, team, qualifying, Master’s Finals) at the tie
still occurs :,
TEAM Step 1. Lesser handicap shall prevail.
QUALIFYING Step 2. Least difference between the highest and lowest game (including hdcp)
MASTER’S FINALS – There will be sudden roll-off :one(1) ball throw each (higher pinfall wins)until
the tie is broken.
Proper dress code shall be observed throughout the tournament with the bowlers required to
wear their respective uniforms from their association/club or sponsors. No shorts shall be allowed
for male bowlers. The tournament committee shall not allow a participant to bowl with improper
9. Check-In Time
All participants must check-in at the tournament secretariat at least fifteen (15) minutes before
the schedule squad time. The bowling center time shall be the official time of the tournament.
10. Bowling balls
Bowling ball used in the tournament must comply with the legal rules. Makers of any kind, except
Inherent marks on the ball itself, are not allowed. The tournament committee reserves the right to

11. Score sheet
Official score sheets must be signed by the bowlers after each game to acknowledge his/her
score. If the bowler fails to sigh his/her sore sheets, it is presumed correct and no protest on
such basis will be entertained. Any player who deliberately tampers his/her score shall be
disqualified immediately from further participating in the tournament.
12. Missing Pin and Down Pin
A frame bowled with a missing pin (s) shall be treated as good ball. A frame with a fallen or down
Pin (s) must be reset. All bowlers are entrusted to monitor and abide by this rule. Bowlers are not
Allowed to reset the pins, only tournament officials and official scorer are allowed.
13. Lane Breakdown
The tournament director or his duly appointed officer of the day may authorize the transfer of the
(Frame) of interruption, without practice bowling.
14. Four Lines
Bowlers must at all times observe the foul line. If the automatic foul line device becomes inactive,
the tournament committee shall assign marshal to act as foul line judges.

16. Slow bowling
Players whose turn is up should not delay going to the approach and bowl. Observed of lane

Master’s Finals Php 3,000.00 Group 1 (12 games)

Php 2,500.00 Ladies (8 games)
* Group 2 Ladies who wish to play in group 1 shall pay only PHP 1,500.00
as registration inclusive of two (2) sets of singles.
* All participants must be fully paid of their games /dues (must settled their old
and Previous Account Receivables from BALP) including the finals fee in order to
play in the Master’s Finals.
